Random Photo Memory: The (Glorious) Oregon Coast

I honestly can’t be sure of the date (the digital stats on the pic says “2008”, but I’m not sure if that’s when I TOOK this photo, or… when I scanned it from a slide).

In ANY case…

Some years ago I had the supreme pleasure of bicycling a goodly stretch of the Oregon coast with my oldest daughter. We dragged our bikes (by car) up to Astoria (a lovely coastal town at the tippy top of Oregon (along the Washington state border), and… we bicycled for (I likewise forget, about 5, maybe 6? days) south down the glorious coast, camping along the way. Great fun, and especially fine memories with my eldest.

That sounds like an amazing trip. I’ve never been a big biker but I’ve had a couple of friends who biked the country north to south, or other things like that. The coast of Oregon looks just beautiful and I’m sure it would provide quite the backdrop for such a trip.
