Random Photo Memory: Seeing-Double Seattle

With less than a week ’til I celebrate my my ONE YEAR anniversary of living here in Asia (I’ll actually soon be landing on a whole new continent – Oz), what could be more appropriate for a Random Photo Memory than…

A look back at the glitter of my beloved Seattle.  This shot, taken waaay back in ye ol’ days of F.I.L.M. when I was knee-deep in fiddling with manual controls, double exposures, and other fun experimentals.

P.S. Note that TL posts might become a tad irregular for the next month as I skip gaily across a teensy nth of the great Land of OZ.  Nonetheless, I have some pre-pecked posts waiting in the wings, so hopefully I’ll be able to keep the TL fires burning brightly.

Gorgeous shot!!

Thanks Desiree – coming from an artist like you, that means a lot!

And yes, it was such fun to experiment with manual camera controls back then. Though I love my current Panasonic Lumix ZS3 – clearly I can’t do such tricks with it.

I actually have a nifty DSLR with manual controls, but now days, the way I travel (l-i-g-h-t and generally off-the-beaten…), it’s just too big/bulky to carry around. ;(

Paul

Sigh, I miss the days when we had two Space Needles. They should never taken down the southern one, even if the views weren’t quite as good.

Have a great time in OZ!

LOL Paul! ;D

btw, did you happen to notice… I theeenk those are the bitty red lights (that look like a spaceship in the background) of the (now demolished) King Dome in the pic, no?
